This chapter provides an overview of Webalo's Managed Clients and explains how to download Managed Clients to end users' mobile devices.

Webalo's Managed Clients enable reports and other types of information to appear on mobile devices in a manner consistent with the look-and-feel of the individual devices.

Reports could be delivered to end users through the browsers resident on the mobile devices. However, displaying reports within web pages on mobile devices provides a less than ideal user experience.

To provide a better user experience, Webalo has implemented a set of Managed Clients to display reports in a manner consistent with the intrinsic look-and-feel of the individual mobile devices. These Managed Clients are thin clients that contain NO application-specific logic or data. They enable multiple applications to be delivered via the same Managed Client. In a sense, they provide a display that looks like a custom client (for each application), without the need to create custom clients for each application.
