5.9. Copy Item

This page describes a part of the Mobile Dashboard's process for configuring reports. For an introduction to the report configuration process, see Section 5.1, “Introduction To Report Configuration”. For an example of how a report can be configured, see Section 5.28, “Report Configuration Example”. For a general introduction to the online help manual, see Section 1.1, “Mobile Dashboard Online Help Manual Overview”.

You can copy an existing spreadsheet item to create a new one which you can then edit. This is particularly useful when a spreadsheet has multiple worksheets (tabs) that are similar, or has multiple tables (on a single worksheet) that have the same or similar structure.

You are required to change the Item Name so that the copied item becomes unique. If you then select a different worksheet, you will need to specify the upper-left corner of the spreadsheet item. You may also move the copied item within the same worksheet. The other selections (from the original spreadsheet item) will then apply to the new item (e.g., right edge, bottom edge, etc. relative to the new upper-left corner. If the new location causes some of the copied item to extend off the edge of the worksheet, you may check the box that allows truncating the relocated item at the edge.

After copying, you must re-validate the item, which allows you to edit any item properties that need to be modified.
