2.3. Review and Deploy Changes

This page is part of the Mobile Dashboard online help. For an introduction to the online help manual, see Section 1.1, “Mobile Dashboard Online Help Manual Overview”.

Whenever you create or edit content for delivery to mobile devices, those additions or changes are local to your working environment. They are not yet deployed to end users. This allows you, as an administrator to first test the newly-created or modified content on your mobile device (and those of others you designate, if any) to see if they look as you intended. Thus, administrators would typically Test Changes prior to deploying the additions and/or changes to end users.

To test and deploy your changes, you must first complete all activities in the agenda (Section 2.2, “Completing an Activity”). If all agenda activities have not been completed, the options to test, deploy or abandon changes will not be available (on this page) until you complete those other agenda items.

Once you have completed all activities, you can review the changes you have made here and then test them, via Test Changes, to see if they behave as expected. This allows you to view the changed content on a mobile device (Section 2.4, “Test User Experience”). Once you're satisfied with your changes, you can Deploy Changes, which then makes them visible to end users. Alternatively, you can Abandon Changes.

Be sure to select Finish when you are done.

Refresh View simply updates the list of changes, incorporating any recent changes made by other administrators.
