8.11. Configure Page Format Matching

This page describes a part of the Mobile Dashboard's process for configuring web sites. For an introduction to the web site configuration process, see Section 8.1, “Introduction to Web Site Configuration”. For a general introduction to the online help manual, see Section 1.1, “Mobile Dashboard Online Help Manual Overview”.

This page allows you to control when this page format will match a Web page. The default settings for title and Web address matching are often sufficient, but you may need to change them, in particular for Web sites that add context-specific data, such as putting the user's name in the title, or some search-specific ID string in the Web address. A description of page format matching behavior is in (Section 8.5, “Choose Page Format”).

To match a Web page, all three of the following conditions must hold: the title must match, the Web address (URL) must match, and all of the extracted content that is defined on the page format and marked as "always present" must eist on the web page.

Click on Edit Title Matching to change how the title of the Web page is matched, and on Edit Web Address Matching to control how the Web address (URL) is matched.

When you are done, click on Save Page Format to save all the changes you have made to the current page format. You may also click on Review Page Content to go back to the previous step.
